POCO may have a €999 problem on its hands as it prepares to enter a much more expensive flagship race.
Yes.. you read it right
The upcoming Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra have reportedly surfaced with leaked prices, renders and specifications, even though POCO has not officially announced either phone yet.
The reported lineup brings together Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-series chips, 185Hz AMOLED displays, 200MP cameras and 100W charging. But there is a catch. The European versions are tipped to have smaller batteries than their Chinese Redmi counterparts, while the Ultra could start at €999.
The phones have not received an official European launch date. However, certification activity suggests that the global versions are moving closer to release.
The Poco F9 Pro is listed with model number 2607APCA5G, while the F9 Ultra reportedly carries model number 26077PC53G. Both models have appeared in international certification records, supporting reports that POCO is preparing them for markets outside China says 91mobiles reports
That still does not confirm when the phones will launch. Some reports point towards October 2026 as a possible global launch window, but POCO has yet to confirm the date.
According to information attributed to WinFuture, the poco f9 pro price could start at at least €799 for the reported 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The F9 Ultra is reportedly expected to start at at least €999, with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
The phrase “at least” is important. These are leaked starting prices rather than official POCO figures, so the final European retail prices could be different. The reported numbers should therefore be treated as a reference point until POCO announces the phones.
| Model | Reported configuration | Expected European price |
| Poco F9 Pro | 12GB + 256GB | €799+ |
| Poco F9 Ultra | 16GB + 512GB | €999+ |
The price could also change the way buyers view the F9 series. POCO built its reputation around delivering high-end hardware at aggressive prices. A €999 Ultra would put the phone much closer to the mainstream premium flagship market.
There is no official Indian price yet. Converting the prices into Indian Rupees only provides a rough currency reference. It should not be treated as the expected India price because taxes, regional pricing and launch offers can change the final figure.
The leaked specification sheet gives the Pro some serious hardware. According to reports based on the WinFuture leak, it could feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 185Hz refresh rate and up to 4,500 nits peak brightness. Gorilla Glass 7i protection is also expected.
Performance is expected to come from a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-series processor. The reported configuration goes up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage. That puts the phone firmly in flagship territory on paper.
The camera setup is also ambitious. The leak points to a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP telephoto camera with 2.5x optical zoom and an 8MP ultrawide. A 32MP selfie camera is also reportedly included.
The Pro is tipped to pack a 6,330mAh battery with 100W wired charging. Other reported features include IP69 protection, Bose-tuned speakers and HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. These specifications remain unconfirmed until POCO publishes its official product details.

The Ultra is expected to be the more feature-heavy model. The leaked specifications point to a 6.9-inch AMOLED display with a 185Hz refresh rate and up to 4,500 nits peak brightness. The larger panel should appeal to users who want more screen space for gaming, video and everyday use.
The processor is reportedly the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. The Ultra therefore keeps the performance focus of the Pro while adding upgrades in other areas.
The biggest difference is the camera system. The Ultra is tipped to feature a 200MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide and 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. That longer optical reach gives it a clear hardware advantage over the Pro.
The Ultra reportedly gets an 8,050mAh battery and 100W wired charging. Leaks have also mentioned Bose-tuned speakers and an LED notification ring, although these details should still be considered unconfirmed.
The battery difference could be the biggest surprise in the entire leak.
The F9 Pro is expected to be based on China's Redmi K100 Pro, which reportedly carries an 8,580mAh battery. The European POCO version is tipped to have only 6,330mAh. That is a 2,250mAh difference, or roughly 26% less capacity.
The Ultra reportedly follows the same pattern. The Redmi K100 Pro Max is said to feature a 9,070mAh battery, while the F9 Ultra could use an 8,050mAh cell. That's a difference of 1,020mAh, or roughly 11% less capacity.
| Model | Chinese counterpart | China battery | Expected European battery |
| F9 Pro | Redmi K100 Pro | 8,580mAh | 6,330mAh |
| F9 Ultra | Redmi K100 Pro Max | 9,070mAh | 8,050mAh |
POCO has not explained the reported battery difference. It would therefore be premature to speculate about the reason. For buyers, the important point is that the European versions may not deliver the same battery endurance as their Chinese counterparts.
The leaked specifications show a fairly clear split between the two models.
| Feature | F9 Pro | F9 Ultra |
| Display | 6.59-inch AMOLED | 6.9-inch AMOLED |
| Refresh rate | 185Hz | 185Hz |
| Peak brightness | 4,500 nits | 4,500 nits |
| Main camera | 200MP | 200MP |
| Telephoto | 50MP, 2.5x | 50MP periscope, 5x |
| Ultrawide | 8MP | 50MP |
| Battery | 6,330mAh | 8,050mAh |
| Wired charging | 100W | 100W |
| RAM | Up to 16GB | Up to 16GB |
| Storage | Up to 512GB | Up to 512GB |
| Expected price | €799+ | €999+ |
The Pro looks like the more sensible choice for buyers who want flagship performance without reaching the €1,000 mark. The Ultra makes a stronger case for photographers and power users who want the larger display, bigger battery and 5x periscope camera.
The leaked hardware makes the F9 series worth watching. The combination of Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-series performance, 185Hz AMOLED displays, 200MP cameras and 100W charging gives both models a strong specification sheet.
But the reported prices change the conversation. At €999, the Ultra will face established premium flagships rather than competing only with affordable performance phones. The smaller European batteries, especially the F9 Pro's reported 6,330mAh capacity, are another point buyers should consider.
For now, waiting is the sensible move. POCO has not confirmed the launch date, final European prices or complete specifications. Until that happens, the leaked information is best viewed as an early picture of what the company's next flagship smart phones could offer.
The F9 series could mark an important shift for POCO. The brand appears to be combining premium hardware with higher pricing, especially if the reported €999 starting price for the Ultra proves accurate.
The Pro looks like the value-focused option, while the Ultra brings the larger screen, stronger zoom camera and bigger battery. But the reported European battery cuts mean buyers should look beyond the headline specifications.
For now, the verdict is simple: impressive hardware, interesting pricing and one battery question that needs an official answer.
