A smart phone with a 7,000mAh battery should end charging anxiety. But when that battery supports only 15W charging, buyers face another question: will longer endurance make up for slower refills?
Launched in India on July 31, the OnePlus N6x combines a large battery, a 120Hz display, Android 16 and added durability. It also settles for 4GB RAM, an HD+ LCD and basic cameras.
India’s sub-₹20,000 market is crowded. This device targets people who need a smart phone to last through long classes, commutes, shifts or travel days.
The OnePlus N6x price in India starts at ₹18,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage version. The 4GB RAM and 128GB model costs ₹20,999.
An instant bank discount of ₹1,500 brings the effective prices to ₹17,499 and ₹19,499. Buyers may also receive up to six months of no-cost EMI on eligible transactions.
The first sale begins on August 4, 2026, at 12 pm IST through the OnePlus online store, Amazon India, OnePlus Experience Stores and selected retailers. Burgundy Red and Ice Blue are the two colour options.
The prices, sale channels and launch offers were reported by FoneArena and Gadgets 360.

|---|---|---|
| 4GB + 64GB | ₹18,999 | ₹17,499 |

The OnePlus N6x specs place battery life and durability ahead of premium display or camera hardware.

The specifications come from the official OnePlus product page and the company’s launch disclosures.
The handset has a 6.8-inch LCD with a resolution of 1570 × 720 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The faster refresh rate should make scrolling and supported animations feel smoother.
However, the screen is only HD+. Text, images and videos may not look as sharp as they would on a Full HD+ panel. It also uses LCD technology rather than AMOLED.
OnePlus has added Aqua Touch for more reliable taps and swipes with wet or oily fingers. The enlarged speaker supports up to 300% Ultra Volume.
The MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex handles processing duties. OnePlus says the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage version crossed 608,900 points in its internal AnTuTu test.
A 5,300mm² vapour chamber helps manage heat during streaming, gaming and multitasking.
The hardware should handle messaging, navigation, video streaming and light gaming. Heavy users should note that virtual RAM cannot fully replace physical memory.
MicroSD expansion up to 2TB adds practical value for users who keep videos, photos, music or study material offline.

The 7,000mAh battery is the strongest part of the OnePlus N6x. OnePlus claims it can deliver up to 2.5 days of use on one charge.
Its laboratory figures include up to 20.56 hours of video playback, 25.04 hours of social scrolling, 12.05 hours of gaming and 54.36 hours of calls. The company also lists 759.13 hours of standby time.
These are controlled test results. Screen brightness, signal strength, applications and personal usage will affect real-world battery life.
OnePlus also claims more than 80% battery health after six years or around 1,600 complete charging cycles. Buyers should treat that figure as a laboratory projection rather than a guaranteed lifespan.
The phone supports 15W wired charging and 5W wired reverse charging. Some early online listings mentioned 45W, but the final official and post-launch specifications confirm 15W charging.
That speed is slow for such a large battery, making overnight charging the practical choice for many users.
Bypass charging can send power directly to the device during supported use, reducing stress on the battery. Reverse charging can provide emergency power to compatible accessories or another phone.
The rear has a single 13MP main camera. A 5MP camera handles selfies and video calls. Both cameras record video at up to 1080p at 30 frames per second.
This setup should manage daylight snapshots, document scans and video calls. It is not designed for strong low-light or ultrawide photography.
The included tools cover AI Eraser, AI Unblur, AI Portrait Glow, AI Perfect Shot, AI Reflection Eraser, AI Recompose and AI Detail Boost.
OnePlus says some AI features may carry usage limits. AI Eraser, for example, has a stated daily usage limit on the official product page.
The Oneplus Mobile ships with Android 16-based OxygenOS 16. The software includes Flow Motion animations, Night Charging Mode and Super Power Saving Mode.
OnePlus gives the 64GB version a 36-month smoothness claim and the 128GB model a 48-month claim.
These are company fluency tests, not Android-update promises. The claim does not automatically mean buyers will receive three or four years of major operating-system updates.
Software longevity matters beyond launch-day specifications. TUI has also examined why long-term phone updates matter.
The phone weighs 214g and measures about 8.7mm thick. It may feel heavy during one-handed use, although the large battery explains part of that weight.
Its IP64 rating covers dust and water splashes. MIL-STD-810H testing, hardened glass and reinforced corners add protection against everyday knocks.
These features do not make the handset waterproof or indestructible. Users should avoid submerging it or deliberately exposing it to extreme conditions.
This Oneplus Mobile suits students, drivers, travellers, field workers and people who cannot charge frequently. It can also work as a secondary phone for calls, navigation and media.
Buyers focused on cameras, fast charging, heavy gaming or an AMOLED screen should compare alternatives.
The OnePlus N6x price in India becomes harder to justify at ₹20,999 unless battery endurance and expandable storage are the main priorities.
Among budget OnePlus Phones, this model has a clear purpose. It offers long endurance, a smooth refresh rate, expandable storage and stronger-than-usual durability.
The OnePlus N6x specs also reveal clear trade-offs: slow charging, 4GB RAM, an HD+ LCD and basic cameras.
At the effective ₹17,499 price, the package works for battery-first buyers. At full price, competing OnePlus Phones may offer a better-balanced experience.
The OnePlus N6x is not trying to win every specification battle. It is designed for people who want fewer charging stops and are willing to accept compromises elsewhere.
