The 20th season of Bigg Boss has arrived, and this time the house has brought together a cast that is anything but predictable. Hosted by Salman Khan, Bigg Boss 20 premiered on September 6, 2026, with an unusual mix of television stars, film actors, a sporting legend, singers, rappers, gamers and digital creators.

The final lineup currently has 16 contestants. The list includes Olympic medallist Mary Kom, television favourites Mahhi Vij and Kanika Mann, Panchayat actor Aasif Khan, Fame Gurukul winner Qazi Touqeer, Bhojpuri star Aamrapali Dubey, gamer ScoutOP and several newer faces.

Who Are the Bigg Boss 20 Contestants?

At the grand premiere, Salman Khan introduced all 16 Bigg Boss 20 contestants, revealing the diverse personalities entering the house this season.

1. Rhiti Tiwari

Singer, songwriter, composer and producer Rhiti Tiwari is the daughter of actor-politician Manoj Tiwari. She has released independent music and now gets a chance to build her own identity in one of India's biggest reality shows. 

2. Kanika Mann

Television actress Kanika Mann is best known for Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega. She has also appeared on Khatron Ke Khiladi 12, giving her some experience with reality television before entering the Bigg Boss house.

3. Aasif Khan

Fans may recognise Aasif Khan from Panchayat, Mirzapur and Paatal Lok. He has also worked in films including Pagglait and The Great Indian Family. His journey from supporting roles to wider recognition makes him one of the more interesting acting personalities in the cast.

4. Qazi Touqeer

For viewers who grew up watching music reality shows in the 2000s, Qazi Touqeer is a familiar name. He won Fame Gurukul in 2005 alongside Ruprekha Banerjee and is now returning to reality television more than two decades later. 

5. Isha Rikhi

Punjabi and Hindi actor Isha Rikhi has appeared in films such as Jatt Boys Putt Jattan De, Happy Go Lucky and Ardaas. Her Bigg Boss entry also comes after a period of considerable media attention around her personal life, but the show gives her an opportunity to be seen primarily through her own personality and career.

6. Aamrapali Dubey

A major name in Bhojpuri cinema, Aamrapali Dubey began her career in Hindi television before making her Bhojpuri film debut with Nirahua Hindustani. Her presence brings one of India's biggest regional film industries into the Bigg Boss house.

7. Rohed Khan

Rohed Khan, an Austrian actor and model, has appeared in Hindi films including Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Tejas and Sarzameen. For many Bigg Boss viewers, he could be one of the less familiar faces entering the season.

8. Love Gill

Punjabi actor and model Love Gill earned her place through the show's audience-voting twist. She competed against Rhiya Ahir in the “Fans Ka Faisla” vote, with viewers choosing Love Gill for a place in the house. 

9. Mary Kom

Perhaps the biggest surprise of the season is Mary Kom. The six-time World Boxing Champion and Olympic bronze medallist is making her reality-TV debut. Her presence brings elite sport into a house traditionally dominated by entertainment personalities.

10. Yung DSA

Pune rapper Harsh Machare, known professionally as Yung DSA, represents India's growing desi hip-hop scene. His association with Gully Gang Records and independent rap gives the house a distinctly contemporary musical voice.

11. ScoutOP

Mahhi Vij brings nearly two decades of television experience to the house. She became widely known through Laagi Tujhse Lagan and Balika Vadhu and has also participated in reality shows such as Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Khatron Ke Khiladi. 

Her Bigg Boss entry is another chapter in a career that has already crossed scripted television and multiple reality formats.

12. Arishfa Khan

Arishfa Khan started as a child actor and appeared in shows including Ek Veer Ki Ardaas…Veera, Uttaran and Meri Durga. She later built a substantial digital presence, making her a bridge between traditional television and social-media fame.

13. Gullu

Kushal Tanwar, popularly known as Gullu, comes with reality-TV experience of his own. He won Roadies Double Cross and enters Bigg Boss with an understanding of competitive reality formats.

14. Aman Gandhi

Television actor Aman Gandhi has appeared in shows including D4 - Get Up and Dance, Sasural Simar Ka, Kundali Bhagya and Naagin 3. His long television experience could make him a familiar face for daily-soap audiences. 

15. Uditi Singh

Uditi Singh is an actor and model whose credits include Jassi Weds Jassi and Jaane Jaan. She is among the newer faces in the house and gets a larger platform to connect with mainstream audiences.

16. Mahhi Vij

Why Bigg Boss 20 Has Such a Different Cast

What makes this season interesting is not simply the number of celebrities. It is the range of worlds represented inside the house.

There is an Olympic medallist in Mary Kom, established television stars such as Mahhi Vij and Kanika Mann, regional cinema representation through Aamrapali Dubey and Love Gill, musicians such as Qazi Touqeer and Rhiti Tiwari, rapper Yung DSA, gamer ScoutOP and digital creator Arishfa Khan.

In other words, this is a cast built around different kinds of fame- television fame, sporting achievement, regional popularity and internet influence.

That could make the dynamics particularly unpredictable.

Why Were There Reports of 15 and 16 Contestants?

There was some confusion around the final number before the premiere. Fifteen contestants entered initially, while Love Gill won the audience vote against Rhiya Ahir for the additional spot. That took the final house strength to 16. 

The season also introduces the “Tathastu” concept and an “Extra Jeevan Daan” twist, giving the eviction process an additional layer of uncertainty. 

The Bigg Boss 20 Contestants to Watch

There is no obvious way to predict who will dominate this season yet. But a few contestants naturally bring strong storylines into the house, with Salman Khan once again at the centre of the show's unpredictable mix.

Mary Kom has sporting credibility. Qazi Touqeer brings nostalgia. Mahhi Vij and Kanika Mann have television experience. ScoutOP and Arishfa Khan bring digital fandom, while Aamrapali Dubey has a strong regional audience.

And then there are contestants such as Love Gill and Yung DSA, who have plenty of room to surprise viewers.

That is perhaps the most interesting thing about this year's cast: Bigg Boss 20 isn't putting one kind of celebrity into the house. With Salman Khan steering the season, it is bringing several different definitions of fame under one roof.
